Education: Dr. Bennett William McAllister attended the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy, Hampton University, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and completed his adult psychiatric residency at LSU-Ochsner.

Awards: He was named “Intern of the Year” during Hurricane Katrina and “Resident of the Year” as a senior resident at LSU, selected by the department of psychiatry physicians.

Experience: Over 20 years in psychiatry, with expertise in adult and geriatric inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and consultation-liaison psychiatry for hospitalized patients.

Specialization: Among the first psychiatrists in Florida to use transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for treatment-resistant depression, with over 14 years of experience in this area.

Ruth McAllister is a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, who is trained to assist patients with all mental health related needs.  Ruth was born in Costa Rica where she practiced as a Registered Nurse in the ICU and Cardiac ICU for 20 years. She moved to the United States in 2010 and decided to further advance her knowledge base. She graduated as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner and spent over 2 years managing hospital patients and clinic patients in the field of endocrinology at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Nonetheless, her passion was always in Mental Health. Ruth returned to school for her Post-Master degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health and has been practicing for over 5 years in the outpatient setting and consultation-liason psychiatry, hospital based. Ruth has vast experience working with anxiety, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder and such.

“My goal is to positively impact patients under my care. I strive to provide assistance to individuals affected by mental illness. Outside of work, some of my hobbies include dancing, gardening and traveling. I look forward to meeting you”.

Julie Deeter is an AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and a Certified Professional Biller (CPB). She graduated Cum Laude from Doane College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.  She has over 20 years of medical billing experience in both family practice, OB/GYN, and behavioral health.
